A user account is required to participate in this wiki.
- 'If you already have a user account', it is unnecessary to recreate one, you just have to login. To do this, click "Create an account"/"log in" at the top right of the page, then enter your email address and your password. When you are identified, other links appear at the top right, including your user page. It is also recommended to create a user page, the procedure is described below.
- 'If you do not have a user account', click onCreate Account(top right of page): You are directed to the registration page of Solecopedia where you can create an account.
The user page': Each identified member of the Wiki has access to a personal page.
This page is accessible by clicking on your username at the top right of each page, next to the little green guy that appears if you are logged.
At first, your page is blank : fill it out, for example, your name and surname. Then click theSavebutton at the bottom of the page.
2 Create an Article
Once you have your user account, you can create or edit an article.
One way to do: Use the text box 'View' (left menu).
If the page does not exist, the Wiki has a link to create (red link).
Another possibility is to create a link to the page to create, for example, on your user page or from an existing article. RED A link is then created, which means that the page does not exist yet. Example: Apagethatdoesntexist By clicking on this link, you arrive on the edit page of the new page. Once the page is completed, the link will turn blue.
Second, you can also view a list of all article (see here: All pages in this wiki
3 How to navigate in the wiki?
3.1 Conventions
Navigation in the Wiki is identical to any website. It does include a few specifics:
- Links red: 'This is a link to a blank page (or rather who has not yet been created)'
- Update: 'each page or paragraph can be changed if you have a user account'
- Discussions: each page has an associated discussion page where you can share your comment on the page in question
- Links: On each page you can access pages that are linked to all pages that contain a link to the page you are viewing
3.2 Navigation in the wiki
This Wiki offers the possibility to navigate in a structured way in 'categories. Each article of this wiki is listed in one or more categories.
3.3 Using research
To view the resources of Solecopedia one search engine is available on this website.
- The internal search for Solecopedia where the search terms appear. They may appear in the title of the page in the body of the page.
'These two modes of research are accessible from the left menu of the site.'
3.3.1 Uppercase and lowercase, accents, numbers
Internal search does not differentiate between uppercase and lowercase.
Internal search automatically performs certain transliterations. You can search for 'Number, while seeking a number with less than four figures may not give relevant results. Some 'characters, including apostrophes, can be problematic when searching: try removing the apostrophe or replaced by a space.
3.3.2 Choosing keywords
Some terms are ignored, as the words "the", "the", "de", "and", etc.. ; In general, avoid using words </ u> ( 'when', 'all', 'why', etc..): Most often, the results are not relevant or too numerous.
It is possible to use the joker "*" to replace any string, even if its usefulness is limited by the lexémisation (see below). The other wildcards are not allowed (such as "?" To replace any letter), or expressions.
4 Writing Article
4.1 How to write my article?
The form of an article depends on what you want to write. A definition of concept type glossary (eg Subsidiarity active will have a very different form from that of a feature article on a concept (eg Global governance). In the glossary, a simple definition may be sufficient while in the case of an article of substance, it is necessary to structure the article into several parts and include many references (websites, books, booklets etc.)..
4.2 The basic syntax Wiki
- 'Level title'
== Title 1 (hierarchy H2) == === Title 2 (hierarchy H3) === ==== Title 3 (hierarchy H4) ==== ===== Title 4 (hierarchy H5) =====
- 'Make links'
- The 'internal links' use double brackets. The vertical bar can specify the link text.
[[Technical Democracy]]
becomes: technical Democracy
By using the "#" character, it is possible to go directly to a section or subsection of a page (in this case it is advisable to specify the link text).
[[Démocratie_technique # Complexité_supposée_des_débats_techniques | Complexity supposed technical debates]]
becomes: Complexity supposed technical debates
- Links to Wiki
A simple internet address is automatically converted into links:
http://www.irenees.org/
becomes: http://www.irenees.org/
To specify the link text, use single square brackets: Specify the first link, then leave a space and enter the text to replace:
[http://www.irenees.org/ Site Irenees]
becomes: Site Irenees
- 'Lists'
The use of bulleted lists is recommended for writing documents online because it facilitates quick reading. For the numbers to follow, do not insert line breaks. Only the return line allows the numbering.
* Lists are very useful: ** They allow you to organize data ** They embellish the document

5 How to communicate with other participants
The wiki allows for collaborative writing articles, ie articles can be written by several writers. The 'history' (tab at the top of the article) can identify the date and origin of all contributions.
To make this effective writing, the authors of an article have the opportunity to communicate via the 'talk pages' (tab at the top of the article). They can discuss, in the same way as on a forum, the best way to write any part of the article.
5.1 Get the list of another user's modifications
It must first go to the 'user page (which can be directly accessible from thehistorique 'an article or on the page List of participants)
Once on it (no matter if it is empty), click onUser contributionsunder "Toolbox" at the bottom left of the page.
